
The 2013 Summer WSU/France Global Entrepreneurship Experience Exchange (GEEE) is a unique student exchange and learning experience. GEEE is open to all undergraduate students with an interest in learning about the international nature of business, entrepreneurship, and franchising. Students will focus on entrepreneurial activities and knowledge management as it relates to Europe (France) and U.S. business models. This program will have approximately 15-20 WSU students and 15-20 ESC PAU students. Classes will be taught in English with faculty from both Groupe ESC PAU and WSU. View the 2013 GEEE flyer!
GEEE begins in summer 2013 with WSU students traveling to Pau, France for 8 weeks (May – July) and attending classes with Groupe ESC Pau Students. Students will attend class at ESC Pau University as well as at various locations throughout southern France. All WSU and Pau students will participate in the following courses throughout the summer semester:
During the fall 2013 semester Groupe ESC Pau Students will attend WSU. WSU and PAU students will be required to take the following two courses:
PAU students will be required to take three of the following elective classes while WSU students will work toward degree completion.
WSU students will be housed in single occupancy room at the Groupe ESC PAU University dorms. Each room includes a private bathroom and shower, desk and a small refrigerator for snacks. Transportation and several group lunches and dinners will be provided.
Twelve hours of undergraduate-level credit in business/entrepreneurship and a certificate will be jointly granted by Wichita State University and Groupe ESC PAU University upon successful completion of the program.
Open to undergraduate students with an interest in business, entrepreneurship, international business and/or franchising. Fluency in French is not required. Classes will be conducted in English but a conversational French class will be offered prior to departure. Minimum 2.75 GPA required. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours by the time of departure.
Apart from the courses, a minimum of three excursions/site visits are planned to local businesses, franchisors and local attractions. The company visits, an integral part of the curriculum, will be announced at a later date. Class related excursions are included in the program fee.
