As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 12-18, 2012, the Center for Entrepreneurship and the W. Frank Barton
School of Business, Wichita State University will be hosting, for the fifth time, Professor for a Day. It is the school’s mission to bring together classroom teachings to the realities
of the business world.
All WSU faculty members are asked to invite a guest speaker, aka, a “Professor for the Day,” for each class taught. These “professors” are to be local professionals who are open to discuss their personal experiences of navigating the ups and downs of entrepreneurship and/or small business ownership. “Professors” will focus on a particular contemporary business topic relevant to the agreed upon topical area which is determined by both the faculty member and the “Professor for the Day.” This program allows students and community leaders to collaborate and foster a new kind of learning experience for both the students and the “professors.”
For faculty members inviting a “Professor for the Day” to their classes or if you need assistance finding a “Professor,” please submit the online form below or contact Linda Harris at linda.harris@wichita.edu or 316-978-3000. Thank you gifts for each “Professor” will be available for WSU faculty to pick up in the Dean’s Office or at the Center for Entrepreneurship.
