Dear Students,

I am pleased to welcome you whether you are returning to the campus or just beginning. Recognizing the potential for the university to change lives in a very positive way remains as exciting for me as it has been throughout my career in higher education. I hope that you will take advantage of the opportunities that await you at Wichita State University and in the city of Wichita.

When I became president of WSU, I quickly learned about the strong commitment of the faculty and staff to students. I am very grateful for their willingness to be of assistance to students as we try to provide the most positive environment for you to learn both in and out of the classroom. Indeed, our faculty and staff make this university a special place and, as you join us within the university family, you, too, will contribute to this wonderful environment.
