Overview

The undergraduate teacher education program provides students with foundational knowledge in general education and professional education coupled with four semesters of field experiences. The combination of academic theory and clinical practice provides a grounded experience as students develop into teachers who exemplify professionals who are competent, collaborative and reflective.

A bachelor’s degree in education can lead to a recommendation for a license to teach in Kansas. For those who currently possess a bachelor’s degree and are interested in obtaining a license to teach, see the Transition to Teaching Alternative Certification program.
