COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

 A Unifying Theme

The WSU College of Education is dedicated to academic innovation in living and learning. Programs in the College range from early childhood education to the health and fitness of senior adults. Students in all programs, from those studying to be classroom teachers to doctoral candidates, experience hands-on, site-based learning in schools and active-living organizations.

The College is unified by a model for mind and body connections with potential to revolutionize our understanding of life-span development. Preparing students for careers in teaching and school administration, counseling, school psychology, sport management, athletic training, and exercise science, the College is nationally accredited and supports two research centers: The Center for Physical Activity and Aging and the Center for Research Evaluation Services. Located in Wichita, Kansas with campus offices in a Frank Lloyd Wright designed building, the college exemplifies Wright’s leadership in using new technologies, active and enriching environments, and student-teacher engagement.

Sharon Hartin Iorio, Dean of the College.
