The following list is the sequence of required professional education coursework and examinations in MLS/MAT once a candidate is deemed eligible by meeting program entrance requirements.


PREPARATION

Before summer
Pass the Praxis II Content Area Test and the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST).


YEAR ONE

First summer (8 hours)

CESP 728 - Theories of Growth and Development (3 hours)

First fall (5 hours)
CI 761A - Instructional Planning & Technology (2 hours)
CI 743/781 - Field Experience: Internship 1 or Co-op (1 hour)
CI 615/652 - Learning & Reading Strategies (2 hours)

First spring (6 hours)
CI 769 - Instructional Strategies, Technology & Assessment (2 hours)
