CLEP and DANTES/DSST Exams


Registration Procedures:

  • You may pick up a College Level Examination Program (CLEP) brochure at the WSU Counseling and Testing Center, Grace Wilkie Hall, Room 320, or go to www.collegeboard.com/clep.
  • Check to see which CLEP exams your college or university will accept.  Scroll down this page for tests and scores that WSU will accept for credit.
  • CLEP tests are given on computers; the registration fee must be paid to reserve space at a computer station.
  • Go to www.registerblast.com/wsu to register for a CLEP test and pay the registration fee.
  • The testing fee is paid on the day of the test (check,  money order or credit card only; cash is not accepted). Make check or money order payable to CLEP.
  • You will receive your CLEP test score immediately after the test, except for English Comp w/Essay.
  • CLEP guides are available for purchase at the WSU bookstore.
  • CLEP guides may also be checked out at the WSU Ablah Library.
  • DANTES/DSST exams are administered on the computer and information is found on the website www.getcollegecredit.com/materials.htm.  You will be able to view your score immediately after testing.  You can register to take the tests at WSU at www.registerblast.com/wsu.

The following is a list of CLEP and DANTES/DSST Exams accepted by WSU. The CLEP General exams are mainly for freshman students. Check with your advisor before taking a CLEP General exam.  If you are going to another college or university, check with them about the CLEP and DANTES/DSST tests and scores they accept.
