Community referrals

For those individuals who are not students, faculty and staff at WSU, you may not be eligible for services at the CTC. You may also be seeking a service that is not provided by the WSU CTC (such as child therapy, neuropsychological testing, state disability assessment or custody and parenting evaluations). If so, there are several local agencies below which may be able to assist you:

Community organizations

  • Prairie View Regional Mental Health Center is a non-profit behavioral and mental health center with six locations in Kansas (Newton, East and West Wichita, Hutchinson, McPherson and Marion). They offer treatment in psychiatric hospitalization, outpatient services, a community support program and an accredited day school and organizational consultation services. They commonly treat children, adolescents, adults and older adults for a complete range of behavioral and mental health issues including depression, anxiety, stress, anger, eating disorders, dementia, sexually related issues, grief, cognitive disorders, alcohol and substance abuse issues and family and marriage issues.

  • Kansas University School of Medicine - Wichita is a medical training and treatment center with staff providing outpatient medical and psychiatric treatment services. Psychiatric treatment is typically provided through a staff physician or referring physician.
