Stephen Hathaway, who earned a B.A. in English at Michigan State University and an M.F.A. in fiction at Bowling Green State University, is a veteran member of the creative writing faculty at Wichita State. His collection of short stories, A Kind of Redemption (dealing with the war in Viet Nam and its aftermath) was published by the Louisiana State University Press. His stories have appeared in Kansas Quarterly, Quarterly West, Red Cedar Review, the Itinerary series, American Institute for Discussion Review, Knight Literary Journal and others, and he has published more than fifty book reviews. He likes fishing, golf, and the Detroit Tigers.
