The Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) is a unique opportunity design to give WSU students an exciting introduction to world of leadership and engagement.  The curriculum for the ELI is designed to provide students with building blocks that ultimately will lead each participant to a path of personal growth. Emerging leaders are Wichita State University students that are new to the institution or have limited engagement in leadership programming.

Participants in the ELI meet once a month throughout the academic year and focus on developing a personal leadership philosophy that addresses topics such as:
• Values, Beliefs & Attitudes
• Communication & Emotional Intelligence
• Inclusive leadership
• Critical Thinking
• Power & Influence


Cabinet of Student Leaders

The Cabinet of Student Leaders is a selected group of students who will serve as facilitators in the Emerging Leaders program.  Students selected to be members of the cabinet will participate in training opportunities that will prepare them to facilitate curriculum for the new and emerging leaders at Wichita State University.
