Kelly Anderson received the Bachelor of Dental Hygiene degree in 1983 and the Master of Health Science in 1994, both from Wichita State University. She has nearly two decades of experience as a practicing dental hygienist.  She has been a faculty member since 2001 at Wichita State University, and acted as senior clinical coordinator, teaching didactically in senior level courses such as Concepts II and Ethics and Jurisprudence.  Additionally, she teaches degree completion course through distance learning.

Ms. Belt is a clinical educator and is the dental materials and periodontics instructor. She has been active in dental hygiene practice for over 30 years and her experience includes practice at the Veterans Administration hospital, Wichita, Kansas and in periodontal and general practice offices. She is currently completing a Master’s thesis in dental hygiene with an emphasis in education. Ms. Belt’s passion lies in empowering others with the attitude, knowledge, and skills to facilitate informed decisions concerning their health or the health of others.
 

Barbara M. Gonzalez, RDH, MHS

Barbara Gonzalez grew up in western Kansas.  She graduated from the dental hygiene program at Wichita State University in 1984 with her Bachelor of Health Science in Dental Hygiene degree, and received her Master of Health Science degree, also from WSU, in 1987.  She is the junior clinic coordinator and is proud to be part of the teaching faculty at her alma mater.   
 

Most of her professional life has revolved around educating future dental hygienists.  Even while working as a clinical dental hygienist in private practice, Barbara taught part-time as a clinical instructor.  She also worked for several years as a consultant, supervising dental hygiene students providing services to persons with disabilities at the KETCH job training facility. She has a very supportive husband with whom she has four terrific children.

Denise C. Maseman, RDH, MS

Denise Maseman is the Department Chair and Assistant Professor of the Dental Hygiene Department at Wichita State University.  She joined the faculty in 1981.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  She worked initially in private private in St. Louis, MO and Omaha, NE.  She began her teaching career at the University of Minnesota prior to joining the faculty at WSU. 

At WSU, she has taught numerous courses and currently teaches Pain Management and Issues in Dental Hygiene.  She is an Examiner for the Central Regional Dental Testing Agency and a prior member of the Kansas Dental Board.  She has been an active member of the local and state dental hygiene professional association. 

 

Kathryn M. Trilli, RDH, BS, ECPII

Kathy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 40 years after receiving her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene for Sheridan College (Wyoming) and a Bachelor of Science Dental Hygiene degree from Midwestern State University (Texas).

At WSU, she works as a part-time Clinical Educator in Pre-Clinic and teaches Dental Radiology and Dental Radiology Lab.  Also, Kathy works as a Parent Educatory for children with Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord injuries and Cleft Lip/Cleft Palate at the KU School of Medicine Specialty Clinics held at the Medical Arts Tower Building and the Plastic Surgery Center, Wichita.

Kathy has enjoyed previous education experience in Texas at Midwestern State University and Texas Woman’s University.  She is currently working toward a Master’s Degree of Education degree at Newman University.

Community events include serving as President of the Wichita Dental Hygienists’ Association, a member of the Wichita Oral Health Coalition and Kansas Dental Mission of Mercy 2013 Committee.  She is married to Vic Trilli and has four children:  Shannon, Leah, Jon, and Ryan.
