EECS Industrial Advisory Board

Approximately 28% of the engineers employed in Wichita, Kansas, the center of industrial activity in the state, received their engineering education at Wichita State University. Many of those engineers continue their education as part time graduate students. This provides the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering the opportunity to obtain evaluations of the performance of its graduates in industry.

The Industrial Advisory Board of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering consists of engineering leaders from electrical & computer engineering industry in the Wichita area. These engineering leaders, representing the Wichita area industrial constituency of the electrical & computer engineering programs, provide input as to program objectives, and assist the Department in assessing the technical content and performance of its programs. The Board meets with faculty of the Department at least once per year to discuss issues and review goals and objectives.
