Elliott School Scholarships and Awards

Each year the Elliott School and its friends offers tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships to incoming freshmen and to students already taking communication courses.

Applications are made available each March and all communication students are eligible to apply using a simple application form available in Room 102 of Elliott Hall. Faculty may also distribute applications to classes. There is no charge to enter the scholarship competition.

Winners are announced at the Elliott School Awards Night, typically held in early May. Scholarship money is made available to winning students the following fall and spring semesters.

In addition to scholarships, the Elliott School recognizes the top undergraduates in each emphasis area, the top graduate teaching assistant and best thesis, and hands out more than 40 Merit Awards to both undergraduate and graduate students for the best work created during the previous year.

Although the number and amounts of scholarships vary, most of the following awards are made each year. This list is subject to change.
