Engineering with LEGO Robotics

Students entering grades 6-8 in Fall 2013


Both sessions are FULL
 

June 24-28

Morning session: 8:30am-12:00pm 
Afternoon session: 1:00pm-4:30pm


Come explore the world of robotics using the LEGO NXT kit! Campers will build robots with motors and sensors to perform tasks and respond to their environment. Once you have mastered the fundamentals, you will have your robot complete challenging courses. Learn about basic programming, problem solving, and teamwork. There are sections for both beginner and advanced robotics students.


Camp Director: Steve Smith, ssmith3@usd259.net

Steve teaches middle school mathematics at Christa McAuliffe K-8 Academy.  He leads robotics workshops for students at his school, and workshops for parents, teachers, and mentors at Wichita State University.  Steve has been bringing teams to the WSU Shocker MINDSTORMS challenge for 12 years.


Fee: $125 ($25 discount for paid registration before May 1, 2013)
