MINDSTORMS EDGE with LEGO Robotics
Students entering grades 6-8 in Fall 2014

Mindstorms Edge camp is for students who already have experience using Lego Mindstorms. Students will learn advanced programming techniques using the Mindstorms EV3 kits and use these to solve challenges such as squaring up on a line. The last two days of camp they will use these new tools to solve a scenario.

Students must have completed a LEGO Robotics summer camp or competed in Shocker MINDSTORMS PRIOR to participating in this camp.

Rena received her BS in computer science from the University of Missouri-Rolla, now Missouri S & T.  She has her MS and PhD in electrical engineering from Wichita State University.  For eleven years, she worked as a software design engineer.  She has taught computer sciences classes at Wichita State for twelve years. In 2004, she and her husband started a Lego Robotics club for homeschoolers to teach engineering principles, emphasizing math and science.  The club has competed in the WSU Mindstorms competitions each year.  The last 9 years, she has been teaching her own Lego robotics camps and has also taught Lego robotics camps at Missouri S & T part of that time.

 

Fee: $175 ($25 discount for paid registration before May 1, 2014)
