What is DreamSpark?
Through DreamSpark, formerly known as MSDNAA, Microsoft makes highly desired, advanced programs available to students and educators for a small annual subscription fee—far below the retail cost of any one program in the list. With its subscription, Wichita State University’s College of Engineering receives a free online portal through E-academy that provides eligible students, staff, and faculty members with instant and easy access to all DreamSpark titles.

Where do I access the DreamSpark Webstore?
You access the DreamSpark Webstore at the following web address: http://e5.onthehub.com/WebStore/ProductsByMajorVersionList.aspx?ws=1e9b4d7b-b39b-e011-969d-0030487d8897&vsro=8

How do I get a DreamSpark login?
If you are enrolled in an engineering class you should receive an email from DreamSpark by the end of the second week of classes. (A word of caution, some email clients do not forward emails from this site). It will include directions for accessing the site, your username and a password.

What if I have problems logging in?
If you do not receive the email from DreamSpark, please send the following info to carole.higgins@wichita.edu via your WSU e-mail account: (1) engineering class enrolled in and (2) your advisor. Requests not sent from your WSU email account or without the correct information will be deleted. Your username will be your WSU email address and will not change.

How do I download the software I would like?
If you have questions about using the DreamSpark web store, please check the FAQ  as it will resolve most issues.   The majority of the software is downloaded as an ISO file, so you will need a program that allows you to “burn” an ISO image to a disk. Freeware is available to accomplish this task.  Some of the applications are too big for a CD, such as Windows 7, and will require using a DVD.

What if I have problems with the DreamSpark website?
If you have a problem downloading the software, and it is not addressed in the FAQ, you can contact carole.higgins@wichita.edu.   Carole is not able to troubleshoot installation problems on your personal PC’s.  You must use your WSU email account when requesting assistance in order to verify you are a qualified DreamSpark user.

How many copies of an application can I download?
You are allowed to download more than one copy of an application, but you must request a license for each copy.  The site will keep track of all the software you download along with the license key for that product.

Why don’t I see Microsoft Office on the list of available applications?
Unfortunately, Microsoft Office is not one of the applications available for download through our DreamSpark subscription.
