The ESSC now has staff* in the Engineering Student Records Office dedicated to assist you in registering for classes. Effective for Spring 2013 and beyond, undergraduate students in the College of Engineering are required to complete these steps prior to registering for classes:
• Each semester, schedule an appointment with a registration professional to:
- Plan your upcoming semester schedule
- Get cleared to enroll
- Register in classes
• Once a year, schedule an appointment with your faculty adviser about:
- Career plans
- Technical electives
- Engineer of 2020
- Minors
- Cooperative education
Graduating Undergraduate Students: Students who are graduating within the next two semesters must file an online application for degree (AFD) through MyWSU. After filing an AFD, students will receive instructions to schedule an appointment with their department chair/program coordinator for a mandatory Senior Check advising appointment. The Senior Check appointment replaces regular semester advising with a registration professional.
*Registration Professionals are full time professional staff (non-faculty) focused on making the registration process efficient from beginning to end. Registration Professionals counsel students regarding information, procedures and academic requirements of CoE programs. Additionally, they identify options for students to satisfy degree requirements, provide guidance in course selection and registration. All non-graduating undergraduate students (within two semesters) will need course approval from a registration professional prior to registering in classes.
