The School of Art & Design
The School of Art and Design at Wichita State University offers four undergraduate program concentrations: graphic design, studio arts, art history and art education. Courses within the BFA and BA degrees train and educate our majors, while instilling self discipline, cognitive ability, and skills necessary for pursuing a professional arts-related vocation or career. Merit scholarships are available for outstanding undergraduate students, transfer students and incoming freshmen through annual competitions.
The School offers graduate programs leading to the MFA and MA degrees. Students seeking the MFA degree may select majors in ceramics, painting/drawing, printmaking or sculpture. Graduate Teaching
Assistantships with tuition reduction and stipend, as well as graduate scholarships are available for Master's degree candidates. Private and semi-private studios and large work areas are available for graduate students in Henrion Hall and McKnight Art Center.
