Race Participation: Open to Wichita State University students, faculty/staff, their families, friends, and the general public. Current college redshirt athletes, letterman, and track team members (middle distance runners, distance runners, and cross-country runners) are not eligible for age group awards but, they can receive prize drawings.
Costume Contest: Costume judging will take place at the award ceremony. Prizes for best costume will be given out. All costumed runners must complete the course in their costume.
Cross-Campus Competition: To our friends on campus, join us for the 3rd Annual Cross-Campus Competition. Get your co-workers, students, and friends out to participate. The team with the most participants will receive a trophy and some major bragging rights. Teams will compete within one of the following divisions: Athletics, Campus Department, and Student Group.
Participant Perks: Once every competitor has crossed the finish line, it's time to party! Indulge in some healthy snacks provided by local merchants. Ease away your aches from a Campus Recreation massage therapist. All of these services are free to competitors. Awards will be handed out to competitors. Door prizes will also be given out during this time.
Refund Policy: No refunds will be given. This event will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event there will be no refunds, your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Leukemia Society in memory of Wayne Carlisle, a dedicated employee and runner.
The 5k course will have runners winding through the campus and is open to all ages.
