Frequently Asked Questions

1. I want to schedule an event using space at the Heskett Center. What do I need to do? 
   - To reserve space at the Heskett Center please call John Lee at 316-978-5290 or email john.lee@wichita.edu. You can also fill out an online request form.
   - Information you will want to have at the time of the facility request are: choices for dates and times, a short description of the event, number of participants and spectators, if you will be charging admission and any special set ups needed.  
2. How far in advance should I submit my request?
   In order to process the paperwork and acquire the necessary approvals, we require a minimum of two weeks advance notice. Any request not providing two weeks notice will only be considered if staff time permits. For large events please submit requests at least one mont in advance.
3. Once I have submitted a facility request form what should I expect?
   - After you have submitted an online form, a submittal box will appear. If this page does not appear you should resubmit the request to ensure that is has been received
   - Within 3-5 business days you will receive an e-mail regarding the status of your request
   - If the request is approved, contracts and information about facility rules and regulations will be sent by mail.
4. Who can reserve space at the Heskett Center? Anyone can reserve a space, but the costs of reservation will vary based on university affiliatioin. Groups will fall into one of two categories:
   i. on campus groups
   ii. general public
5. How much does it cost to reserve space at the Heskett Center?
   Cost varies depending on the time of day, number of participants, number of spaces needed, equipment needs, etc. For a quote please contact John Lee at 316-978-5290.
