Honors Living-Learning Community

As an Honors Freshman, you may choose to live in the Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC). In the HLLC, you will have the opportunity to live with and take classes with other highly motivated and academically interested Honors students.

Entering freshmen who are members of Honors may apply to live on the Honors Floor in the new Shocker Hall dormitory.

Housing contract forms

Students who live on the Honors Living-Learning Floor:

  • Enroll in and successfully complete one Honors course in the fall semester and one Honors course in the spring semester. 
  • Participate in the social, cultural, academic and service programs offered.
  • Abide by the rules set by Housing and Residence Life.
  • Have access to early enrollment, academic and career advising, and the Honors seminar room.

The core idea of the Honors Living-Learning Community is to promote close interactions amongst Honors students, between Honors students and faculty, and to create an environment that maximizes learning, social development and personal growth.
