In response to interest among public finance officers in expanding opportunities for professional development, the Kansas Public Finance Center at Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs began conducting regional workshops on public finance at various locations throughout Kansas. When the Kansas Government Finance Officers Association (KSGFOA) was established in 2000, the Finance Center was asked to manage and conduct two professional development workshops and a fall conference each year for Association members.
The Kansas Government Finance Officers Association is pleased to present a series of workshops for those involved in the financial affairs of municipalities, counties, schools, state agencies, utilities and special authorities. The conference offers a range of topics and the opportunity to network and discuss issues surrounding public finance. 12 continuing education credits are available.
