| Background Checks |
Background checks are required for each person hired for a faculty, unclassified or classified positions at WSU that will continue for a term of longer than 6 months. See Protocols and Best Practices for guidelines and forms required. Who Pays? There is a central fund in the Office of Human Resources that will pay for all GU positions through their Business Procurement Card (BPC); RU positions will need to be funded by the hiring unit. OHR will assign the BPC charges for RU positions to the hiring unit. |

See Human Resources Help channel, click on Electronic Personnel Action Form (ePAF).
All of the Student Hiring forms have been incorporated into an easy to use Excel spreadsheet. Complete the first page (EntrySheet tab) of the spreadsheet and those fields will auto-populate into the required documents. Print all the documents -- in the print command box, request the Entire workbook -- after printing, complete any missing or additional information. The form can be completed on your computer and printed off, signed and submitted to the Director of Human Resources or the Vice President and General Counsel. See Section 6.13 of the WSU Policies & Procedures Manual in regard to grievance procedures.
