International Undergraduate Admission

STEP 1 - Verify that you are applying by our published deadline.
The closing date to apply online is one week before our published deadlines. If you are applying close to our deadline, we recommend that you express mail all of the items below to ensure everything arrives before our published deadline. See our published deadlines.

STEP 2 - Have your credit card ready to use.
In order to apply online, you will be required to pay the US$65 application fee by credit card. If you do not have a credit card, you cannot apply online. Before applying online, it is a good idea to check with the bank that issued your credit card to notify them that you will be making a US dollar transaction to pay for your application fee. As you will see later on, you will also be given the option to pay an additional US$60 express mail fee. Because Wichita State University does not accept credit card payments from Nigerian students, Nigerian applicants should complete a paper application. Details on how Nigerian students can apply.

If you prefer to apply with an paper application instead of applying online, you may print one of our applications.

A portion of the application fee may be used to support student recreation and recruitment activities.

STEP 3 - Apply online by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.

STEP 4 - After you have submitted your online application, send the following items to us:

  • The webpage that you will be asked to print after your application is successfully submitted.
  • A completed financial statement.
  • Official copies in English of all transcripts from all secondary schools, colleges, or universities that you have attended. Each copy must bear the original stamp or seal of the school and the signature of a school official (Registrar, Head of Department, Dean, or Principal) attesting that it is a true copy of the original document. If the school will not attest an English translation of your transcript, please have them attest an official copy in the original language and send that with an English translation that is attested by the translator. Faxes or unofficial photocopies of academic records will not be accepted. Transcripts from Canadian or U.S. schools must be sent to Wichita State University directly from the school. All transcripts that you submit become the property of Wichita State University. IMPORTANT NOTE: Students who fail to report all colleges and universities attended will be denied transfer credit for any schools not listed on their application and may also be dismissed from Wichita State University. Students who submit falsified transcripts will be denied admission/readmission or will be dismissed.
  • Students from some countries (notably Bangladesh, Pakistan, and many African countries) have special transcript requirements. See details of special transcript requirements.
  • The SAT or ACT is not required for Freshman Admission but may be on option for some students. The SAT or ACT is not required for Transfer Admission. See details of International Admission Requirements.
  • Mail the above items to:
    Wichita State University
    International Education
    1845 Fairmount Street
    Wichita, Kansas 67260-0122 USA

STEP 5 - Add international@wichita.edu to Your E-mail Address Book
Your e-mail address is very important to us! We use e-mail to notify students of the arrival of their application materials, the status of their application, and much more. For this reason, it is very important that you provide an e-mail address on your application for admission. To ensure that our automated e-mails are delivered to you, please make sure that international@wichita.edu is added to your address book, contact list, or safe-senders list. Otherwise, our important e-mail messages may be incorrectly delivered to your Spam or Junk Folder. IMPORTANT NOTE: We cannot tell you if you will be accepted or rejected until we receive ALL of the above items so please send them as soon as you complete your online application. It will take us about one week to review your application after we have received ALL of the above items (but may take longer during peak application times).
