Mark Rindt (B.S.'81) was a member of the WSU Bands, a Brother of Kappa Kappa Psi (KKY), past chapter, and district president of KKY, and an honorary member of Tau Beta Sigma (TBS). Until The time of his death, Mark remained a Loyal WSU bands Alumnus by attending concerts and KKY-TBS meetings and activities. His untimely death was met with great sadness by all who were fortunate enough to have had lives enriched by Mark's friendship.

Mark Rindt Memorial Band Award

As a living tribute to Mark, his many friends established a Memorial Scholarship in his name at the WSU school of Music. Mark's parents, Dorothy and Wilbert, helped greatly to endow the scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a member of the WSU bands who exemplifies, as did Mark, the ideal of WSU Bands.
