History:

The Engineering Research Laboratory Building, constructed in 2007, houses laboratories for Wichita State's four engineering departments ‚€ aerospace; electrical and computer; industrial and manufacturing; and mechanical. The building was designed by the Wichita-based firm McCluggage Van Sickle & Perry to be open and flexible, allowing for changes in the kind of research that can be conducted as the needs of potential clients change.

Among the laboratories housed in the building are:

  • Acoustic Measurements and Material Characterization Laboratory
