M.A. Degrees Available Through MCLL


Students interested in pursuing a Master's degree in world languages have the option of enrolling in our MA in Spanish program or in the Liberal Studies interdisciplinary MA program (French + two other areas of the humanities or social sciences).

MCLL currently offers 9 graduate teaching assistant  positions in Spanish; no assistantships are available at this time for MALS candidates.

M.A. in Spanish

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures offers courses of study leading to the Master of Arts (MA) degree in Spanish. This degree program allows for specialization in Spanish language and literature and in Latin American literature.

M.A. in Liberal Studies

The Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program is designed for people who wish to pursue a particular topical or interdisciplinary interest at the graduate level. The liberal studies program offers students an opportunity to design a program of study to answer their particular needs and interest in a focused, coherent manner.
