Admission to the Master of Arts program in Spanish requires a 3.00 GPA in Spanish. Non-native speakers must have completed 24 hours of undergraduate Spanish, beyond the Basic Language Requirement (WSU classes SPAN 111, SPAN 112, SPAN 210); 8 of these 24 hours should be at the junior-senior level (300 and above). Native speakers must have completed 12 hours of Spanish at the junior-senior level.
The following are deadlines for submission of complete application materials for all applicants seeking on-time registration. Applicants who submit applications after these dates, if accepted, should be prepared to register during late registration or a semester late. The department of MCLL does not process applications between May 20-August 10.

Applications for graduate study are made through the Wichita State University Graduate School regardless of the program. Records required for admission and from applicants not requiring visa status should reach the Graduate School at least three weeks before registration for the semester in which admission is desired. Materials received after these dates will be processed as the time of staff and faculty permits, but the Graduate School cannot guarantee final action can be taken in time to allow enrollments for graduate credit.
