Undergraduate Studies

MCLL grants the Bachelor of Arts degree with specializations in either French or Spanish. Minors are available in French, German, Latin, Russian, and Spanish. Courses are also offered in Italian, Chinese, and Japanese. We coordinate the Classical Studies field major (BA) and participate in the International Studies field major (BA) as well as the certificate programs in Medieval and Renaissance Studies and Asian Studie

A wide range of courses in world languages and literatures, linguistics, civilization, translation, and teacher education is offered on campus and at the satellite centers as well as through summer programs in Puebla (Mexico) or in Orléans or Strasbourg (France). A specialization in two languages consists of 12 hours of each language beyond French 210, German 220, Latin 112, Russian 210, or Spanish 210. Click here for details about the bilingual option.
