The Media Resources Center (MRC) provides centralized support and innovative leadership for effective and creative use of instructional technologies and informational services throughout Wichita State University. In addition, the MRC supports WSU-TV, KMUW radio, and WRRS.

Campus Media Services: Classroom Technology Support Campus Media Services provides multimedia equipment support for faculty and staff and operational support to the University community. A wide range of equipment is available to faculty and staff at no charge for classes in the classroom assigned by the Registrar. CMS will serve all University colleges, administrative departments, and student groups, as well as off-campus organizations who utilize WSU room facilities. The Instructional Designer collaborates and consults with faculty on design, development, and evaluation of online learning environments, helping them match available technologies to their online teaching and student-learning goals. He works with the MRC and the Office of Faculty Development and Student Success to provide opportunities for faculty to share successes and learn from one another. The Media Resources Center has rooms available for on-campus and non-WSU clients for reservation. The rooms include videoconferencing capabilities, projectors, PCs, and DVD players among many other resources. The rooms vary in size so different sized groups can be accomodated. KMUW is one of more than 800 listener-supported, noncommercial radio stations in the United States generally described as public radio. Licensed to Wichita State University, KMUW operates at 100,000 watts at 89.1 FM as well as 3 HD channels. KMUW has a distinctive sound, combining news and information programming during the day, an eclectic mix of musical styles at night and diverse entertainment programming on the weekends. The non-commercial format allows for in-depth news stories and probing conversations over a broad range of subjects. WRRS provides the print handicapped of South Central Kansas with daily readings of newspapers and current periodicals while enhancing and extending the services of KMUW and WSU. Special sub-carrier receivers are required to pick up the broadcast. WRRS provides local and national programming twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. WSU-TV and CIC (Campus Information Channel)
WSU-TV and CIC are supported by both the New Media group and Engineering Services. WSU Television is a dedicated cable television channel operated by Wichita State University on Cox Cable
channel 13 serving the city of Wichita and surrounding communities. The Campus Information Channel is a broadcast quality multimedia delivery system. Your information is broadcast over WSU cable television on channel 20 to all residence halls and to several buildings across campus, at no cost.
