Video and Satellite Conferencing

The Media Resources Center has two in-house videoconferencing rooms available for use, including High-Definition videoconferencing capability in our Flexible Learning Spaces. We can connect via IP only, we do not have an ISDN connection. Videoconferencing services are provided to both on campus and off campus clients. Fees do apply.

Mobile Unit
The MRC has a mobile videoconference unit (Polycom Viewstation) that can be used in a number of rooms across campus, each room must be tested for an acceptable Internet connection and have use of a television or projector, screen, and audio speakers.
 

Satellite Conferencing

The Media Resources Center has the capability to receive one-way satellite conference from analog C-band and KU-band satellite. Also, the MRC is equipped to receive some digital satellite signals. Satellite conferences can be viewed live anywhere on campus that campus cable is available, including Master Classrooms and the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Fees do apply.

Videoconferencing - Please note we include a 30 minute test/setup time in all of our videoconference charges.

Satellite Conferences - Please note these charges are for only the coordination of the satellite conference and do not include any of the presentation equipment if needed. Also, we include a 30 minute test/setup time in all of our satellite conference charges.
