Study Hours

A rule of thumb for college classes is that a student should expect to study 2 to 3 hours per week, outside of class, for each credit hour enrolled. Therefore, a student taking 12 credit hours should expect to spend 24 to 36 hours each week studying outside of class. Combined with time spent in class, this works out to a total of 36 to 48 hours of academic work per week.

Establishing positive study habits at the beginning of your college career is important to ensure success throughout  your time at Wichita State University.
