The competition, for students in the Project Lead the Way pre-engineering program, was part of students’ capstone course, "Engineering Design and Development.” To prepare for the competition, students worked in teams to develop a solution to an open-ended engineering problem. Students’ poster displays were on exhibit in the Engineering Research Laboratory Building, on the WSU campus, on Monday, April 27, from 3:30-4:45 pm.
Projects were judged based on:
The winners of the competition who entered a WSU College of Engineering program in Fall 2009 were awarded up to $2,000 each (a total of $12,000 was available for scholarships). These scholarships were in addition to other scholarships received from WSU.
