Services for Faculty, Staff, Students and Visitors

Parking Permits

Board of Regents regulations require that all vehicles driven onto campus register with the campus police department.

Visitors

If you know in advance when you will be on campus, you may e-mail kenneth.keller@wichita.edu, telephone (316) 978-5530, or write to Wichita State University Police Department 1845 Fairmount Wichita, Kansas 67260-0003 to request a one-day parking pass.

Regular users of the Heskett Center, other than Faculty, Staff, and Students, who drive a vehicle to campus must obtain a parking permit. The permit charge is $20 annually. The Heskett Center will collect the fee, and then take the paid receipt to the University Police Department to obtain the permit.

As a general rule, vistor parking permit requirements are waived when attending NCAA athletic events, USD 259 athletic events, or community-wide events sponsored by the University. This should not be interpreted to mean that parking rules are not enforced during these events.

Faculty, Staff and Students

Faculty, staff and students may obtain temporary parking permits from the Police Department for vehicles not normally driven to and parked on campus.

Temporary Faculty/Staff and student parking permits are issued for three (3) days.

Temporary guest permits are NOT permitted on vehicles registered to current students, faculty or staff.

Faculty and Staff are allowed one parking permit; one replacement permit is offered at no cost, all others must be purchased at rate determined by salary.

Guests of residents in University Housing must obtain a temporary parking permit from University Police in order to park in the residence hall parking lot.
