Applying for Graduate Study in
the Department of Psychology


When applying for graduate study in psychology at Wichita State University you must submit application forms to both the Department of Psychology and to the Graduate School. You can submit the Department of Psychology application form in person or by mail. You will be sent a confirmation form, which you MUST sign and return to the Department of Psychology before your application can be formally approved.

This application will not be processed until all of the following is received: (a) official transcripts from the university(ies) you attended, (b) official GRE scores (verbal & quantitative), (c) four letters of recommendation, (d) fully completed application forms (note that this includes not only this form, but one for the Wichita State University Office of The Graduate School).

Financial Support

We make effort to provide students with financial support at the highest level possible. Financial assistance may come in the form of scholarship, teaching or research assistantship, or College Work Study support. Students receiving work study support often perform the same duties as teaching or research assistants. At the time of completing this application you are strongly urged to complete the standard FAFSA financial aid form. This form should be available through your institution's financial aid office. If you have difficulty in finding this form, e-mail us or write to us at the address below and we will send one to you.

Indicate your interest in one of the department Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) position by simply letting us know of your interest in the final comments at the end of this form, or you can download and print a TA Application form by following the link from the Application Checklist.
