DMRL, headed by Dr. Victoria Shaffer, is broadly interested in the area of human judgment and decision making (JDM). Recent projects include the impact of medical diagnostic support systems on patient perception, malpractice lawsuits and physician judgment. Other projects explore difficulties with perspective taking while making judgments and the role of between versus within-subjects designs in JDM research.
