
Improving Your Performance
- Ablah Library. In addition to its holdings in the area of books and periodicals, the library offers numerous data bases to aid with research.
- Personal Advancement Courses. There are several courses that are designed to assist you in your academic endeavors.
- Career Resources. If you are undecided about a major or a career, there are resources to assist you in this important decision making process.
- Study Sessions. The Supplemental Instruction program provides weekly study session to assist you with selected courses. Participation in SI can make at least half a letter grade difference in your final course grade.
- Writing Center. This resource may be used free of charge by students enrolled in any WSU course. The Center gives students assistance with writing assignments and help in overcoming grammar and writing problems.
- Math Lab. The Math Lab offers tutoring for students enrolled in courses ranging from Arithmetic 007 to Calculus 242Q and Elementary Statistics.
- GPA Calculation. Your grade point average is very important at the college level.
- Student Support Services Program. This program provides academic support services to eligible limited income and first generation college students and to individuals with disabilities. These services include tutoring, study skills development, advisement, degree planning, and career exploration.
- Study Skills Video Tapes. If you need a quick refresher on how to read a college level text or how to take notes , or any of the other study skills areas, these videos located in the Reserve Room of Ablah Library, might be exactly what you need.
