One way to enjoy your time at Wichita State University and get to know other students is to become involved in camps activities. WSU has a diverse student body and equally diverse involvement opportunities. Here are web links to a variety of university activities.
Student Organizations. WSU is home to more than 150 student organizations. If you can't find an organization that matches your interests, you may create a new one.
Student Activities Council. The Student Activities Council or SAC is the largest event-planning organization at WSU. SAC sponsors more than 100 events annually including Welcome fest, Shoctoberfest Diversity Week and Hippodrome. For more information call 978-3495.
Heskett Center. The Heskett Center sponsors intramural sports programs and the various sports clubs, and also offers aquatic programs and wellness programs. Activity areas in the Heskett Center include a weight room, circuit training room, combative room, 25-meter indoor swimming pool with separate diving well, seven handball-racquetball courts, indoor climbing wall, and a 100mt indoor jogging track which surrounds five basketball courts.
Sport Clubs. There are three types of sports clubs at WSU, instructional, competitive, and recreational. These clubs include Ultimate Frisbee, Wheelchair Athletics, Men's and Women's Soccer, Karate, Ice Hockey and Akido.
