2007 Scholarship Winner
The Sport Administration Alumni Association (SAAA) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2007 SAAA scholarship is Steve Enriquez. While there were many qualified applicants, Steve was a unanimous decision based upon the following scholarship criteria:
1) Sport Management major, 2) a GPA of at least 2.75, and 3) junior, senior, or graduate student status. SASA members preferred.
Steve has been an active member of the Sport Administration Student Association (SASA) for the last two years and served as the undergraduate student representative on the Sport Administration Advisory Council’s annual meeting (2007). In addition, Steve is currently employed by the Greater Wichita YMCA, Metro Offices where he serves as a Data Clerk organizing child care information for summer camps, updating customer accounts, and assisting with customer service.
Steve has been involved in the YMCA for quite a while, and has served the organization in many capacities. Prior to his current position he was the Manager on Duty and Membership Coordinator for the Greater Wichita YMCA- North Branch, and was the Membership Coordinator for the YMCA of Hutchinson and Reno County. Prior to coming to WSU, Steve received his Associates of Arts in Business form Hutchinson Community College and from 2000-2004 was a Quartermaster for the United States Navy based in Jacksonville, FL.
Sport Administration Alumni Association
The mission of the Sport Administration Alumni Association is to create, maintain and enhance relationships among sport administration alumni, students, faculty and toher constituents that will foster loyalty, interest and support for the program and one another.
The Sport Administration Alumni Association attains its mission by:
