The process of Academic Appeals is available for students who feel they have been treated unfairly in grading or in an instructor's charges of plagiarism, cheating, or similar offenses. Any student may use the appeals procedure. All student Academic Appeals are coordinated by the Office of the Dean of Students. All efforts should be made to resolve the issue with the instructor. If this issue cannot be resolved with the instructor, the student should contact the chair of the department and then the Dean of the College where the course is listed before submitting an appeal to the Dean of Students. Please review the policy carefully in order to ensure that you have taken all of the necessary steps before submitting the appeal.

The Academic Appeals Form is available by clicking here. The Appeal Form and supporting documentation should be submitted to the Dean of Students Office in Grace Wilkie Hall 303 or mailed to 1845 N Fairmount, Campus Box 8, Wichita, KS 67260-0008.
