Auditioning for the "Shocker Sound" Men's and Women's Basketball Bands

All students are welcome to audition for the "Shocker Sound" Men's and/or Women's Basketball Bands. (Students not majoring in music - do not let the audition scare you!) Below is the information about what to prepare for your audition. Auditions take place before classes begin in August, so check back to see when the auditions will be fore the 2009-2010 school year.

Audition Preparation

All students will be asked to sight-read a pep band chart and play a concert B-flat scale throughout the full range of their instrument.

Audition Sign-Up

Students can sign up for an audition time on the Band Graduate Assistant's Bulletin Board located outside of Duerksen Fine Arts Center Room C-114 (located across from the Band Rehearsal Room). Complete a "Shocker Sound" information sheet prior to the audition. "Shocker Sound" information sheets are located in DFAC C-114. Auditions will take approximately five minutes.

Audition Results

Audition results will be posted on the Graduate Assistant's Bulletin Board located outside DFAC C-114. Check back to find out the date for the 2009-2010 school year.
