Course Enrollment, Course Numbers and Credit Hours

All students participating in a band must be enrolled.  Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Arts I and Jazz Arts II are offered for one-credit and zero-credit hour enrollments.  Tuition and fees are assessed for one-credit hour enrollments, a grade is given and the course enrollment will appear on the student transcript.  No tuition or fees are assessed for zero-credit enrollments, no grade is given and the course enrollment will not appear on the student transcript. 

All winds and percussion music majors must enroll for one one-credit hour appropriate major ensemble each semester as determined by his/her degree program until all ensemble requirements are met.  All students receiving a music scholarship must fulfill their ensemble participation requirement per their music scholarship agreement.

Zero-credit hour enrollments must be approved by Mrs. Janet Ives, Music Advisor, Wiedemann Hall, 316-978-6430, janet.ives@wichita.edu.
