About the Residency

Internationally recognized composer and choral conductor Z. Randall Stroope will be on the WSU campus February 18-19, 2013 to present a series of master classes, workshops, and to introduce a concert featuring his music for voice.  A schedule of events is listed below.

The concert on Tuesday evening, February 19th, will feature the WSU A Cappella Choir, Women’s Glee, Madrigal Singers and Concert Chorale with special guest soprano Emily Sterfeld-Dunn.  During the concert, Stroope will share his inspiration for the various compositions as well as provide insights for the listener about the nature of his work.  Stroope will also conduct the combined choirs in their final selections.  It is a rare opportunity to hear the designer of the music put his voice in with the performers.  Tickets are $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for students with discounts available.  For information, contact the Fine Arts box office at (316) 978-3233, or click here to order tickets.
