The WSU Green Group in partnership with a coalition of community and corporate sponsors is hosting a second annual week of events to celebrate Earth Day called the Midwest Green Earth Fest. Our theme this year is renewable energy. Our keynote speakers will be Kansas Department of Health and Environment Secretary Rod Bremby on April 22nd and Kansas Board of Education Member Dr. Walt Chappell on April 25th.

On April 18th Town Hall panelists will include Kansas Senator Oletha Faust-Goudeau, Greensburg Mayor Bob Dixson, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Fellow Dr. Ward Jewell, former WSU NIAR Director Dr. Bill Wentz and City of Wichita Director of Environmental Services Kay Johnson. Miss Kansas 2008 Emily Deaver and Hudson Jack Whitecrow will join us on April 25th. Please visit the detailed schedule listed on the left for specifics about each event.
