Basic Principles of Landscape Design
This series will focus on the basic principles of landscape design applied at a residential scale. Topics include: basic design principles, the development of design objectives, conceptual design and planting design including xeriscaping, and edible landscaping.
Class Length: 4 weeks, Wednesdays, February 5-26 Time: 7-9pm Fee: $68 per person
This class will cover the important aspects of choosing a container, plant choices, maintenance, and winter options. The focus will be on what to plant, when to plant and spacing, as well as learning to deal with pests and disease. We will also learn techniques for wintering your containers and winter plants. Create your planting plan for spring.
Class length: 4 weeks, Mondays, March 3-24 Time: 7-9pm Fee: $68 per person
This is a hands on class on floral arranging. Arrangements will include vase arrangement, fresh cut flowers, dried and silk arrangements. In addition to making arrangements, instruction includes making bows with various types of ribbon, and collecting flowers for fresh and dried arrangements.
