Dr. Gary L. Miller’s first guest on “Wichita State & The World” was Dr. J. David McDonald, Associate Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School.
Dr. McDonald discussed the economic impact of university research, why bioscience engineering could be the next big thing for Wichita, and more. The premiere also featured an interview with Dr. Paul H. Wooley, a Kansas Bioscience Authority Eminent Scholar. Dr. Wooley recently came here as part of a partnership between WSU and the Orthopaedic Research Institute at Via Christi to develop aerospace composite materials for medical uses – such as hip replacements.

Provost Gary L. Miller discussed funding for WSU with guest Dr. Elizabeth King, President and CEO of the WSU Foundation.
