A common goal of students admitted to the School of Accountancy is professional licensure. The State of Kansas has an excellent website outlining requirement for qualifying to sit for the CPA (Certified Public Accounting Examination). Their website is www.ksboa.org.
Students planning to sit for this examination should have their transcripts reviewed by the Board at the earliest possible opportunity. The Board provides an extremely valuable service to prospective test-takers called a "Deficiency Review." This review is done free of charge, with no obligation. It is never too early to have your transcripts reviewed!
Three things are needed to obtain your review:
1. A short business letter requesting the review.
2. Official copies of all transcripts (unofficial copies are unacceptable). If you have attended multiple universities, then an official transcript is needed from each of them.
3. An email address where you can be contacted. Review letters are emailed to requestors. In addition, you must provide your street address and phone number.
