Friday, January 22
Jonathan Burns: Flexible Comedy
7 p.m. | CAC Theater

Jonathan Burns was the kind of kid who would put his leg over his head at the family reunion or perform musical armpit farts to impress the girls. In 2004, contorting his body and impressing people with his unusual talents became his full-time job. Since then he has performed colleges, universities and venues around the world. Most recently he was featured on the Jay Leno Show and the Late Show with David Letterman.

We’ve got you covered at the Shocker Spirit Celebration, we’ll be setting up outside Koch Arena and catching all the Shocker fans headed to the game. If you miss us this time, we will be setup at all the weekday home games. Go Shox!

BINGO has never been bigger. We have five themed game rooms for prizes galore. You will be
This BINGO is so big that it won’t fit in one room! SAC will host five BINGO’s simultaneously in Luau, Casino, Western, Sports and Royalty themed game rooms. No one will leave empty handed at this Breakout BINGO.

Movie: Trainwreck
7 p.m. | CAC Theater

Want to watch a comedy, action filled movie with your special someone? Come out and spend your date night with SAC’s while watching Trainwreck! You will also have an opportunity to take a cute picture together with our photobooth before the movie!
Film Description: Having thought that monogamy was never possible, a commitment-phobic career woman may have to face her fears when she meets a good guy. Directed by Judd Apatow, features Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. Rated R for strong sexual content, nudity, language and some drug use. 125 Mins.

This event is free for all WSU students and we are also having a $5, 2 for 1 special for non-WSU students.

Sex Signals

Let’s talk about sex! Sex Signals is a provocative in your face production presented by two trained professionals on topics related to dating, sex, and date rape. The presenters use a unique combination of improvisational comedy, education and audience participation to present valuable facts and information from the fields of psychology, sociology and women and gender studies.

Admission to this program is free, for mature audiences only.

Black Tie Affair
9 p.m.-midnight. | RSC 3rd Floor, Beggs Ballroom

SAC cordially invites you to our inaugural Black Tie Affair. Dance the night away with your friends as you make memories that will last a lifetime.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $4 for students, $9 for staff faculty and general public in the Student Involvement office beginning Monday, January 25 and you can make a donation to Shockerthon.

Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $5 and $10 respectively.

Movie: Mockingjay Part 2 & Costume Contest

Have a crush on one of the Hunger Game movie stars? Want to unleash your inner Katniss Everdeen or Peeta Melark? Attend SAC’s presentation Mockingjay Part Two in your favorite Hunger Games costume! The winner of the costume contest will win a gift package.

Film Description: As the war of Panem escalates to the destruction of other districts by the Capitol, Katniss Everdeen, the reluctant leader of the rebellion, must bring together an army against President Snow, while all she holds dear hangs in the balance. Comedian: Brian O’Sullivan

Inspired by artists like Weird Al Yankovic, Stephen Lynch, and the Bloodhound Gang, O’Sullivan uses clever lyrics and catchy tunes to deliver his punchlines. His repertoire includes making fun of everything from social media to college procrastination to artists like Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. “O’Sullivan’s show is for anyone with a funny bone in their body”.

Are you fans of Tina Fey or Amy Poehler? Come out and spend your night with SAC’s presentation of the move Sisters! In celebration of the eve of April Fools Day, you will receive your own gag gift before the show!
Film Description: Two sisters decide to throw one last house party before their parents sell their family home. Directed by Jason Moore and features Amy Poehler, Heather Matarazzo and John Cena. Rated R for crude sexual content and language throughout, and for drug use. 118 Mins.

Open Mic Night with Spoken Word Artist Kyla Lacey
7 p.m. | RSC 3rd Floor, Beggs Ballroom

April is national poetry month. Share with fellow Shockers your own talents for poetry, improvisation, music and other forms of self-expression. Spoken Word Artist Kyla Lacey will be our special guest emcee, and the night will feature special selections from her own collection of poetry including “Rising Phoenix”. Kyla’s poetry is based off of her real life experiences and she enjoys telling her story of triumphing over tragedy. Those interested in performing may register on-site at the event.

6th Annual WSU Drag Show
8 p.m. | CAC Theater

Join SAC and Spectrum: LGBTQ & Allies for a fabulous night of performances and education. This program intends to breakdown traditional perceptions of gender and how Drag has influenced the LGBTQ community. Drag Queen and Kings from around the WSU Community will unite in celebration and provide a show you won’t want to miss.

Murder Mystery Dinner "A Fistful of Hollars"
7 p.m. | RSC 266, Santa Fe Trail Room

The town of “Dry Gulp” is having a party and you have been invited by Digger Deep, the local mortician who is trying to drum up a little business with his hired man, the notorious Nast Nate. Crack detective Squint Leastwood is keeping his eye on this shindig as he knows someone’s bound to get ‘kilt’… but he’s not sure who the ‘killin’ will be done by. Don’t forget to strap on your boots, ’cause it’s gonna get pretty deep!

Paid registration includes access to the event and three course dinner including salad, lemon basil chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and dessert. Vegetarian options are available. Registration opens Monday, March 7 and will close on Thursday, April 21 at 5 p.m. or when all available slots have been filled. WSU Student registration fee is $10, faculty/staff $15 and general public $20. Complete the online registration.

Food Truck Rally and feature film: The Kings of Summer
7 p.m. | Duerksen Amphitheatre/Lot 16s

What better way to end your semester by watching an outdoor movie with your best friends! Guests will also have an opportunity to visit local food vendor trucks and purchase some tasty food during the movie! This event is free for all!

Film Description: Three teenage friends, in the ultimate act of independence, decide to spend their summer building a house in the woods and living off the land. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and features  Nick Robinson, Gabriel Basso and Moises Arias. Rated R for language and some teen drinking. 95 Mins.

Admission is free, various forms of payments accepted by food truck vendors.
