Mad Chad

Mad Chad the Chainsaw Juggler
7 p.m. | CAC Theater

Mad Chad, known as the Evel Knievel of comedy, has been juggling since the age of 13.  He has performed his highly participatory brand of comedy in 49 of 50 states and has appeared on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno as well as “Last Call” with Carson Daly. He has even set the Guinness World Record for juggling chainsaws (3 chainsaws, 78 throws, with no limbs lost). This is a daring and once in a lifetime opportunity, which will be a fun experience for the whole family.

Free to WSU students with Shocker ID, $3 faculty/staff; $5 general admission and $1 for kids 12 and under. Cash and Check only.

Hypnotist: Daniel James

Come join us for an evening of fun with Daniel James' comedy-hypnosis show: where laughter is the best medicine. Imagine seeing your friends on stage, falling into hypnosis and acting in ways you won't believe. This will be a night you won't forget!

Free to WSU students with Shocker ID, $3 faculty/staff; $5 general admission and $1 for kids 12 and under. Cash and Check only.

Dinner and a Movie: Valentines Day

Struggling to find the perfect Valentine’s day date for your special beau? Well you’re in luck because SAC’s Valentine’s Day Dinner and Movie is the perfect mixture of fun and romance. Let SAC treat you (and your date) to a delicious dinner and viewing of Valentine’s Day*! Doors will open at 6 p.m. with live entertainment. Movie begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are on sale HERE Jan. 19 - Feb. 3.

$5 for WSU students, $8 for WSU faculty/staff, and $10 for the general public.

*This film is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for some sexual material and brief partial nudity.

Valentines Day with Huxley

Valentine's Day is a time of giving, sharing, happiness, and love. Come out and have a fun day with SAC and CSB at Valentine's Day with Huxley. Make paper flowers and create your own Valentines card for ARC Sedgwick County. All cards will be donated and distributed to clients of the Arc of Sedgwick County. Also, participate in our Teddy Bear Raffle and be sure to enjoy our Valentine's Day theme snacks.

This event is free.

Road Trip: WSU v. MSU 

Men's Basketball

Time: TBA | JQH Arena in Springfield, MO

*Pre-Registration is required.

Travel by charter bus with fellow fans, and catch the Shockers in the last tournament game of the Missouri Valley Conference as they take on the Missouri State University Bears! Game time has not yet been announced, but the game will be televised on ESPN. Once time is confirmed, purchasers will be notified of departure time.

Tickets are on sale HERE Jan. 24 - Feb. 17  

$10 for WSU students, $20 for WSU faculty/staff, and $30 for the general public. Registration includes ticket and transportation, and there will be no refunds or exchanges. Click here for more information.

An astronaut is coming to campus and we're getting ready! Stop by our space themed table for activities, crafts and information about all things space. You won't want to miss this totally out of this world event!

Astronaut Eileen Collins
6:30 p.m. | CAC Theater

The first woman to pilot and command an American spacecraft, astronaut Colonel Eileen Collins has led an inspiring life of adventure, leadership, and achievement. Now she is coming to campus to tell us about her experience in space.

Tickets will be available at the door of the CAC Theater beginning at 6:00 p.m. WSU Students with ID will be admitted for free, ticket rates for WSU Faculty/Staff are $5 each and $10 for General Public. Cash or Check Only.

Know Before You Go: Spring Break Edition

Join SAC for a fun and educational event about the dangers of Spring Break. We all know what it’s like to be a college student during this time, but please come and have fun. While you learn a little bit about ways to be safe and other great and helpful tips to help you survive Spring Break. Because only you, armed with the knowledge, can prevent the dangers from happening.

Tie-Dye Tuesday

Don’t be afraid to get a little messy and have some fun while tie-dying at one of our favorite annual crafting events! Join SAC for Tie-Dye Tuesday on March 28 at 11 a.m., and let your creativity shine! Yellow and grey t-shirts will be provided and supplies are limited. Feel free to bring your own white cotton items, preferably 100% cotton, if you would like!

24th Annual Family Carnival

It's that time for SAC to host our 24th Annual Spring Family Carnival: Animals on Parade! This fun family event features inflatables, face painting, a petting zoo, fun games!

Admission is free for all WSU students and General public, nominal ticket rates apply. Cash or check only.

Tom's One Day without Shoes

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. | RSC North Patio

Join WSU students for a day dedicated to raising awareness for children in impoverished countries who lack education and health opportunities. Wichita State will participate in TOMS National initiative One Day Without Shoes! Preordered TOMS can be decorated with many other fun activities!

Shoes may be purchased at a discounted rate from Monday, March 27 - April 14 at the Student Involvement Front Desk, RSC 216. It is $35 for a pair (cash or check only) and we are only taking the first 100 orders, so place your order quickly! You may choose from the options of Drizzle Grey, Red Mahogany, Natural, Black, Navy, Pink Icing, Cornflower Blue and Red TOMS.
