Why I chose WSU
After visiting campus, I knew I wanted to attend Wichita State. It felt like home and was a place that would equip me to excel both inside and outside the classroom.
I absolutely love the size of the student body and campus. WSU has all of the opportunities of a large university but is small enough that you don’t feel lost in a sea of people. The campus is also compact enough that you never have too far of a walk!
Shocker Dining Hall! After a long day of classes, the caf is the perfect place to relax, talk and eat with lots of friends. Unlimited ice cream is a plus too!
My advice is to get involved on campus early in the semester. This will allow you to make friends and feel connected to the great community that is Wichita State.
My favorite class so far has been Physics for Scientists and Engineers with Richard Traverzo. I have always enjoyed knowing how and why things work the way they do. This was one of the first major-specific classes I took and it made me really excited about what I am studying.
