Why I chose WSU
As an international student, I learned that the city was the perfect size for me, because it reminded me of home. My decision came down to the quality of the aerospace engineering program, the experience it offered and the opportunities available during and after the program.
All of the friends and people I have had the pleasure to meet as a resident, classmate, student and co-worker. My favorite thing is to see those people around campus and be able to say “hi” and ask them how they are doing.
The sky bridges and study lounges on the top floors of Shocker Hall. I like to be in the sky bridges where I can see people and buildings around campus throughout the day, and I love the study lounge facing downtown. I enjoy turning off the lights when there are fireworks at night.
Get out of your comfort zone! This will lead to building great relationships with faculty and students that will make you have an unforgettable college experience at WSU.
Before coming to college, I bought my own telescope because I was really interested in space, but had no background knowledge. During my first semester, I took Introduction to Modern Astronomy, which is my favorite experience so far. I really enjoyed my time with Jason Ferguson, his incredible knowledge, way of teaching and jokes.
